I have been desiging and developing websites for small
and medium sized businesses for almost eight years. Before that I had a successful
sales career in the computer industry. In 2000 a health issue motivated
me to make a career change. Web design and web marketing were a natural
fit for me. My undergraduate degree was in art and I had a lot of years
behind me in sales, marketing,and promotion.
I have effectively
married my 25 years of sales and marketing experience with my
creative and intuitive skills. My strengths include my ability
to get to the heart of my clients' businesses and promote THEIR strengths.
I enjoy the one-on-one interaction with my clients and it is not surprising
that many of them become friends.
My philosophy on web design is based on my own web
surfing habit. I don't like a lot of flashing and moving
things and I don't like annoying sounds and music. I like the navigation
to be intuitive and I don't enjoy getting “lost ” in a
website. I also believe that if the website visitor cannot get to the
important information
quickly,
he/she
won't
be coming
back
for a second visit. So, my website
designs
are simple yet elegant and practical and won't strain your budget.
I work with my clients to help get their websites ranked
in the search engines. I also encourage them to take an active role
in keeping their websites current so that web visitors will want to
revisit their sites often.
